Carrie Has Graduated & Grandpa Fell Off the Porch
Time: 5:52 P.M.
I'm Wearing: My "Please! Don't Eat the Animals" shirt and jean shorts (with rivets... ooh).
I Last Ate: Stuffed pumpkin shells! Woo hoo!
Holly's Song Pick of the Day: "You Make Me" by "Weird Al" Yankovic.
________________________________________________________
Whoaaaa, a fruit fly just flew by! *Ducks*. Whew! He juuuuust missed me.
So anyway, the night before last, my dad and I were sitting there, watching Life As a House when this bat flies by! Dad's like, "WHOA!" and I'm like, "Sweet, merciful crap! Another bat!" And then it got in my hair, so I was like, "AAAAAAH!" I proceeded to run down the hall, and barracaded myself and Zach in his room while my dad chased the bat out of the house with a tennis racket.
I've recently discovered that I dislike bats. They're poop-heads. The next day, we got a cage for the chimney so the bats can't mistake it for a cave anymore.
Last night, I went to Carrie's graduation with my grandparents Shoup, Mom and Mike. Mike's all sick and everything, so he hardly made it there, and it was like, a 3 hour graduation! I swear, like 50 million kids graduated from that freaking school! And the valedictorian decided to make an hour-long speech. Ugh. It was more crowded than an 'N Sync concert, too, and all you could smell was B.O. Eeeeeew.
After stopping at Tim Hortons to purchase donuts and muffins, we all went to Mom's house (except for Carrie, who went to the post-grad party). We ordered pizzas and watched previously-recorded episodes of Port Charles. Well, my grandparents had to leave eventually, and the stupid porch light stopped working, plus there's no railing on the steps, so my poor grandpa fell down the porch steps, into the rock garden. Owwwwww.
Mike's grandpa is in the hospital with heart trouble. Poor guy. He's like, one of the sweetest guys in the world, too. :-(
G'bye!

Self-Made Harry Potter Survey
I got the Harry Potter DVD yesterday, and I swear, I've been doing a happy dance ever since! Mondie (Quidditch Chaser) did a play (that included me!) in tribute to Harry Potter VHS/DVD Day. Since surveys are my specialty, I thought I'd make up one!
1. Who's your favorite HP character and why? Hermione Granger. She's so cool, with all her House Elf rights stuff! I'd be the same way if I went to Hogwarts!
2. Who's your SECOND favorite HP character? Sirius Black. I'd try to kill Scabbers too, the lousy traitor! SIRIUS IS THE MAN! I imagine he'd be really hot. I wish he had his name cleared so poor Harry could live with him!
3. A "'ship" is a fan's preference of a couple. What HP 'ship do you sail on? Harry/Hermione. I love the idea of them together because they're friends, which I think is an excellent basis for a relationship, and they already kind of love each other. I actually have a whole list of reasons. If Harry and Hermione hooked up, that would be the happiest day of my life (yes, I have a sad life).
4. Which of the 4 books is your favorite? I think it's "Prisoner of Azkaban." But I love "Goblet of Fire," too... I don't know. I think it has to be POA because Lupin isn't in book 4, and I love Lupin (that should be a show)! Plus, all the Harry/Hermione alone time in book 3... *yeah*.
5. Can you say "Voldemort" without stuttering? Yup. I'm so proud, heheh.
6. Which HP villian is your favorite? Rita Skeeter. Ha ha, she's in a jar!
7. Who's your favorite HP teacher? Professor Flitwick. I imagine him all little and cute... Aw. And I think Charms would be my favorite subject.
8. If you got the chance to go to Hogsmeade, where would you head first? Honeydukes. I'm a candy junky! Zonko's would be fun, too, though.
9. What magical item would you like to own most? The Marauder's Map. Wouldn't it be cool to know where everyone is at all times?
10. Which magical creature would you like to own? A Niffler! Not because they can find gold so easily and everything, but because they sound so cute!
11. Do veela remind you of anyone? Yeah. For some reason, I picture Christina Aguilera when I read about veela.
12. Do you think you'd like owl post better than E-mail? No. I enjoy typing too much. But I would send presents by owl, just because owls are so cool!
13. Which spell is your favorite? "Accio," the summoning charm. I'm really lazy, so it'd be great to just say, "Accio remote!" or "Accio jeans!" Yeah...
14. Have you ever (or would you consider) worn a Harry Potter-related Halloween costume? I haven't yet, but this year, I think I'll dress up as a Hogwarts (Gryffindor) student to pass out candy.
15. Do you think you'd prefer Hogwarts to your current, or old school? Absolutely!
16. Are you for or against House Elf Liberation? For! I'm an activist for like, *everything* in the Muggle World, so why shouldn't I be in the Wizarding World? House Elves have rights, even if they don't realize it.
17. Do you believe Divination is accurate? No, but I'd take it anyway, 'cause I think it'd be fun.
18. Who's your favorite Hogwarts ghost? Moaning Myrtle. She's a jerk, but I think she's funny.
19. If you were on your House Quidditch team, what position do you think you would play? Seeker. I'm actually pretty good on the HP Playstation game! Heheh.
20. Would you be afraid of Bludgers? Yes! Whenever we played sports in gym, I *dodged* the ball. I was the worst volleyball player ever. "AAAAH, HERE COMES THE BALL, RUN FOR IT!"
21. Do you read Harry Potter fan fiction? If so, which one's your favorite? Yes, I do. I think it's "A Kiss Isn't Just a Kiss" by Elia Sheldon. But it might be "The Pep Talk" by Elia Sheldon. Or perhaps "The Matchmakers" by silverphoenix. I like Harry with Hermione and Ron with Lavender (yes, I know Lavender isn't a main character... but she should be!).
Here are the addresses to my fave fan fics! READ THEM! READ THEM, I TELL YOU!

BAT IN THE BASEMENT!
Time: 12:41 P.M.
I'm Wearing: Mauve Amy Grant shirt and jean shorts.
I Last Ate: Corn flakes w/ bananas & soy milk.
Holly's Song Pick of the Day: The Harry Potter theme.
________________________________________________________
I hope my title sounds something like Quirrel's "TROLL IN THE DUNGEON!" becauses it's Harry Potter DVD Day! ALRIIIIIIIGHT!
Anyway, though... Last night (or morning) around 3 AM, I was in the kitchen, making a sandwich when the phone rings once, then stops! What kind of moron would call us at 3 in the morning and promptly hang up?! According to the caller ID, it was Richardson, Dave, whoever that is.
Then I looked up, and there was a spider on the wall! I'm terrified of spiders, so I started hurrying to finish making my sandwich. But then I heard this noise... It reminded me of that movie, The Mummy, when all those scarabs were running accross the floor. I looked around anxiously, but I didn't see bugs... I saw a bird, or so I thought, flying from the half-bathroom to the basement!
I ran down the hall and yelled, "DAD! THERE IS A *BIRD* IN THE HOUSE!" He replied, "A bird? Are you sure it isn't a bat?" I was like, "Um... no." IT WAS A *BAT*! So, Dad came out of his room and locked the bat in the basement. He told me, "I'm too tired to chase it out of the house now, but he won't hurt ya while he's down there."
So, I went back to bed, all the while freaking out. As I lay there, I heard all these banging noises. My dad must've heard them too because he knocked on my door and said, "Is that you making all that noise or is that the stupid bat?" So he got up, opened all the doors and the garage, and chased the bat out of the house in about half an hour.
Dad went back to bed, but I couldn't sleep because I was still really shaken. So, I turned on my TV to calm me down, and guess what was on? BATMAN!

What in blue blazes is a fresh-pickled toad?
"Deeply" is a brilliantly sad, underappreciated movie starring Kirsten Dunst.
My dog sleeps with a pink mouse. In the daytime, she attempts to kill it.
Cledus T. Judd's cell-mate thinks he's sexy. I beg to differ.
Ken West is an old man who goes to my church. One day, when church was just ending, Ken stood up from his pew, and took maybe 3 steps before his pants fell down to his ankles.
Why do people live in Bay City, Michigan? Don't they know they can move?
Obsessive-compulsive disorder is one of the many things that are wrong with me. Thanks to OCD, I feel the need to do everything from right to left, pity inanimate objects, and make sure I do everything (walk, talk, chew, breathe) an even amount of times. I also have a constant prayer running through my mind, exhale when I think about something gross, and inhale when I think about something pleasant. Fun, huh?
Prom dresses are preeeeeetty.
I need money. Lots of it. But I don't want to get a job. What to do...?
Harry Potter should not crush upon Cho Chang. He should set his sights, instead, on his gal pal, Hermione Granger.
And they say that a hero can save us. I think I'll just stand here and wait.

Last night was a lot of fun. Zach and Mom both had the night off of work, so Mom got us all pizzas at her house. We watched K-Pax (my pick) and everyone loved it. Then we watched Not Another Teen Movie (Zach's pick) and everyone hated it. After a while, Carrie and Karen came over, and we played Scattergories while eating Rolo's.
Today, however, was not so much fun. I didn't wake up until 4:00 P.M. (!) and I had to be to my dad's house for dinner around 5. As soon as I got dressed, though, my grandparents came in. Mom called Zach to tell him I'd be at Dad's soon, but we all got caught up in looking at Carrie's prom and Disney World pictures.
After about half an hour, my grandparents and I got in their car so they could take me home. We had to drop off the videos from the previous night first, though, and as soon as we got to the video store, my grandma said, "Ugh... I don't feel so good." She felt dizzy, sweaty, and like her stomach was doing flip-flops.
She and Grandpa realized what had happened right away. See, my grandpa is diabetic, and has to take pills to lower his blood sugar. Apparently, this morning, my grandma accidentally took Grandpa's pill instead of her vitamin, which means her blood sugar plummeted. It was like, in the 40s, which is NOT GOOD.
So, instead of taking me home, Grandpa turned around and headed for their house. Grandma wasn't very aware of her surroundings at this point, and she felt way too weak to make it into the house. Somehow, though, she managed, and was soon lying on the couch. I got her a cold cloth while Grandpa got her a cup of regular Coke. Then I got her a big glass of orange juice, bread with lots of sugary jelly, and some Fudge Shoppe cookies.
As Grandma was finally dozing off, I realized I hadn't called my dad and Zach to tell them where I was! I called them immediately, but they were both seriously angry with me for not being home (they were waiting for me to go out to dinner w/ them and they were hungry). Zach said I'd taken too long, and they were going to eat without me. He didn't even seem to *care* that our grandma was seriously ill, and that I had to stay and take care of her for a little longer!
I put in a DVD to calm Grandma down, and her blood sugar eventually got up to 96, thank God. Zach came to get me after he and Dad had their dinners (the jerks), and we came home. I can't believe they were mad at me for staying with my sick grandma! I mean, she's always stayed with me when I was sick, and that was pretty often! So screw Zach and Dad. But Grandma is going to be okay, thankfully.
Alright, later.
